psychoanalytic psychodynamic psychotherapy
At Elemental, therapy is grounded in consistency, care and the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen and heard. Life’s challenges are not meant to be faced alone, and choosing therapy can be a quiet, intentional investment in your long-term emotional, psychological and spiritual wellbeing.
Regular weekly sessions provide a stable and supportive space where trust can develop and meaningful change can unfold over time. Within a calm and structured setting, psychoanalytic psychotherapy invites a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships and the emotional patterns that shape your life.
Together, we stay with difficult feelings and explore your inner world with care, curiosity and compassion. This work can be illuminating and, at times, challenging. Through gently guided self-reflection, previously unrecognised patterns can become clearer, allowing new perspectives and ways of responding to emerge.
Over time, this gradual process can support lasting psychological growth, greater emotional freedom, personal autonomy and a more settled, integrated sense of self.
Aloneness - Togetherness
Aloneness–togetherness sits at the heart of Elemental’s approach. It describes the experience of being deeply accompanied while remaining fully yourself - being alone in the presence of another.
Within this therapeutic space, you are invited to explore your thoughts, feelings and inner experience with both freedom and support. The aim is not to shape or direct who you should become, but to create the conditions in which a more authentic, resilient and alive sense of Self can emerge.
Elemental’s psychodynamic approach is informed by the Conversational Model, a long-term form of psychoanalytic psychotherapy with a strong evidence base for working with early developmental and relational trauma, personality difficulties, chronic (treatment resistant) depression and anxiety.
