Professional - Creative - Collaborative Relationships

Relationship therapy is not only for couples and families. The relationships within businesses, creative partnerships and collaborative groups can also become strained by conflict, disconnection, changing roles or competing needs.

I work with business partners, co-founders, creative collaborators, bands, theatre companies and other professional or community groups who want to better understand the relational dynamics affecting their work.

Disagreements may appear to be about money, workload, leadership, creative direction or decision-making. Beneath these practical concerns, there are often deeper questions of trust, power, recognition, belonging and respect:

Do I have a voice? Is my contribution valued? Can I rely on you?

Are we still working towards the same vision?

Each person also brings their own relational history, communication patterns and ways of responding to authority, conflict, dependence and vulnerability. When these patterns remain unspoken, they can shape the group’s culture and interfere with creativity, collaboration and shared purpose.

Therapeutic support provides a structured space to:

  • understand recurring patterns of conflict

  • explore differences in perspective and working style

  • clarify roles, expectations and boundaries

  • address power, trust and decision-making

  • repair strained professional relationships

  • strengthen communication and psychological safety

  • support both individual autonomy and collective purpose

The aim is not to remove difference or force agreement. It is to help people work together with greater honesty, curiosity and relational awareness, so that both the individuals and the shared venture have the opportunity to thrive.
